Bloody injury #2

On Monday we had our second run-in with a bloody face. Ryan and I were making breakfast and Hudson was standing about 4 feet behind us, playing with his vacuum. All of a sudden we heard a *SMACK* and then the wailing. I ran over to Hudson, picked him up, and started to look for signs of injury. His mouth was full of blood. All 8 of his front teeth were soaked red. He wouldn't let me look inside, so I still don't actually know what was bleeeding (gums, lips, tongue). He refused a frozen teething ring. I sat and nursed him to calm him down. Then he unlatched himself and went right back to playing as if nothing happened. This boy is tough, or as we like to say, he's got a little Heath in him!

We still have no idea how he fell (he didn't hear him running).

Guess this is the life of a parent of a little boy. Note to self: buy popsicles for mouth injuries.

Our little conversationist

In addition to his words that we can actually understand (car, ball, up, juice), Hudson is well-versed in his own language. His Pop Pop stopped by on a drive to North Carolina and called Hudson's Mom Mom so that she could say hello. Hudson sure had some stories to tell them! (It's pretty cute around the 1:35 mark).

Full of tricks

I went to feed Hudson dinner the other night. I opened the refrigerator and asked him what he wanted. He threw his hands up as if to say "I don't know". Now, whenever I say "I don't know", he puts his hands like this. There's a short video at the bottom that shows him in action :)
